Estate Prep & Staging Lead

Where care meets curation.

At Fox & Finch, the Estate Prep & Staging Lead is the heart of the physical setup. You transform homes into thoughtfully presented spaces where each item has purpose, placement, and poise. From arranging heirloom furniture to preparing kitchen displays, your role is all about honoring the past while creating a dignified and welcoming environment for buyers.

But this isn’t about rushing to make things look pretty. It’s about interpreting the story of the estate and presenting it with calm, intentional beauty. You walk into a space and know how to bring order, focus, and flow—whether it’s grouping items by function, laying out a dining set, or prepping signage for high-value pieces. You’re hands-on, team-oriented, and sensitive to the emotional weight some objects hold. You know that while it’s a sale, it’s also a goodbye. And you treat every space with the care it deserves.

Ideal Personality

The right person for this role sees both the beauty and the responsibility in what we do. You walk into a space and notice what others might pass by—a story-rich item tucked in a corner, a tag slightly out of place, a quiet opportunity to bring shape and flow to a room. Whether the home is full of antiques or everyday treasures, you instinctively know how to approach it with care. You’re not afraid to roll up your sleeves, but you also carry an appreciation for composition and story. To you, staging isn’t just about placement—it’s about presence. It’s about creating a setting that invites remembrance, connection, and ease.

You understand that every item holds value—not just in price, but in meaning. Because of that, you handle each object with quiet respect, making sure that presentation feels natural, thoughtful, and welcoming. You enjoy refining the details, creating polished displays that are intuitive to navigate and lovely to look at. You’re someone who finds clarity through movement—who thrives when you’re bringing both form and function to a space. Above all, you work with a deep sense of stewardship, knowing your effort helps families move forward with grace.

Visually Intuitive

You instinctively understand how a space should feel. Whether you're styling a table with vintage kitchenware or laying out furniture for flow, your eye for balance, grouping, and mood sets the tone for the sale. You’re not following a strict rulebook—you’re listening to the room, noticing the architecture, and adapting your layout to what the home already offers.

Hands-On & Heart-First

You don’t hesitate to move a heavy chair, unbox fragile items, or sort through a lifetime’s worth of belongings. But you also understand the emotional weight of the work. You handle items with care and clients with empathy. You know when to ask a question, when to press pause, and how to work efficiently while honoring the story behind the space.

Curating the Space

You’ll take the lead in setting up each estate, using your eye for layout and storytelling to group items by room, function, or aesthetic appeal. Whether arranging a dining table, staging a living room, or prepping display tables, your goal is to create visual order that enhances the home while honoring its contents.

Collaborating Across Teams

Responsibiltiies

As the Estate Prep & Staging Lead, your role begins before a single guest walks through the door. You’re often the first person to physically step into the home on behalf of the team. With sleeves rolled up and a sense of purpose in hand, you walk through each room and begin shaping a visual plan—where items will go, how spaces will flow, and what stories will be told through arrangement. You may be unpacking china, sorting glassware, or gently moving heirloom furniture into position, all while keeping the client’s wishes and our standards in mind. Whether the home is classic, contemporary, or layered with history, you know how to bring a sense of polish and order that invites connection.

You’ll work closely with our pricing and inventory teams to ensure every item is tagged and placed with intention. You’ll also be responsible for light cleaning, visual merchandising, and prepping rooms to feel welcoming, walkable, and aligned with our brand’s standard of elegance and ease. Each setup is a reflection of care—both for the family, and for the guests exploring the space.
